On this tour we will be walking through main and alternative Lima streets, learning about its foundation, architecture and political history but framing it all with the passion that locals have always had for (sometimes very sweet) desserts, a passion that is present since the former Spanish times. We will walk, talk about everything and sample some of the local options available, either as typical ‘street food’ or at one of the many classic (mouth) watering holes that we are sure you have under-seen while in Lima.

  • Walk along the famous yet touristy but full of tradition Miraflores area
  • Learn Lima’s real old and recent history by unveiling its most ‘sweet’ secrets
  • Sample between 5 or 6 different sweets/coffee treats throughout our walk
  • Learn about the many old watering holes of Lima’s glory days

Coffee & Local Treats Walking Tour

Many travelers come to Lima because of its ancient history, others, just as a stop over on the way to Cusco, but lately, many more travelers have come because of its bustling gastronomy. While this new trend has filled us with lots of cooking class options, market, gourmet and haute cuisine tours, only a few know that Lima feats as well some mouth watering ‘local treats’. This walk was created to indulge your sweet tooth by walking around town tasting some of the best and classic local sweets available, along some of the great organic coffee that Peru produces with world class premium standards. Forget about the fancy gastronomic paraphernalia and sample some of the classic local sweet treats with us!
